Below are examples of Fundations lesson plans that I have taught in the classroom. These lessons are typically scripted, but as the teacher, it is important to go off-script when students need extra support in a letter that was not planned in the lesson plan. Analyzing lessons plans ensures that the teacher knows the material before the material is taught, and is not reading from a script the entire time. While these plans are scripted, it is important for the lesson to still have a natural flow for students and for teachers to be able to have the liberty to stop and reteach, clarify, or discuss when necessary.
The lesson plans below are from the first week of school. During this time, I was still becoming used to the program and the Fundations format. These scripts were helpful for me to analyze to see exactly what needed to be stated in the lessons, and what was most important.
